Hey Community-Minded Mamas in Vancouver BC:
Does your family make a conscious effort to support companies who give back to our community? Read on.
We recently enjoyed complimentary samples of soup at their Pacific Tasting Kitchen in Vancouver, and they made a donation to a local soup kitchen. What’s not to love about that?
We were SO excited to drop by Pacific Foods public “soup-kitchen” pop up May 22 – May 28 2019 at 1263 Homer Street in Vancouver’s Yaletown District.
We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and impressed by the rustic, modern design. I especially loved the massive aerial photo of Vancouver, wooden triangle shelves and wall planters.
I’m not sure if my hubby would approve, but I’d love to design our house *exactly like this*. Too much?
Well, it’s actually pretty simple. For every complimentary sample of soup given out, another sample is donated to The Dugout, a local soup kitchen in YVR’s Downtown Eastside. They provide a free soup breakfast every morning to 200+ people in the neighborhood. During this pop-up, Pacific Foods employees will donate time and product to help those in need.
This was a perfect fit, as we’ve served Pacific Foods organic soups and broths in our own home for years. We admire their commitment to “Nourish Every Body”. They not only make healthy, yummy products, but also provide access to these products to those in need.
Soup’s Up!
(My favourite was the Cashew Carrot Ginger and we loved the ‘topping bar’ to customize our soups!)
Pacific Foods is proud to bring this mission to Canada, starting in Vancouver. If this is just the beginning of their community partnerships, we can’t wait to see what they’re up to next!
If you’re like us, things get busy (especially during the work week!) and we often find ourselves scrambling to decide what to eat for dinner. We often reach for Pacific Foods soups, paired with some toasted whole grain bread and melted cheese or sour cream.
They offer several easy and healthy meal solutions, and we feel good about being part of a movement that gives back.
Despite the fact that this is a sponsored post, as always, all opinions are my own. We only partner with brands and experiences our family genuinely loves and recommend to our family and friends.
