To begin with, it seems TOTALLY surreal that Ethigal Blog is named among Vancouver Mom’s Top 30 Mom Bloggers. I’ve blogged for others for a few years, but just launched this website a month and a half ago. It’s a great honour to be shortlisted alongside 29 other deserving mom blogs.
I know first hand how much work it takes to plan, create, and maintain a blog– especially while balancing work, life, and parenting. Blogging is a great creative outlet but is also a WHOLE LOT of work. It involves a lot of science and art: planning, photographing, editing, writing, optimizing for SEO, and publishing. I had NO idea there was so much to blogging and am often overwhelmed at how much more there is to learn.
Congrats to all of the amazing local moms who were shortlisted.
I’m thrilled to be in the Top 30. But things don’t end there. Vancouver Mom hosts a DAILY online voting campaign to finalize the Top Blog each year.
Yes, it feels kind of of odd to ask you to vote this brand new website as ‘Top Vancouver Mom Blog’ for 2018. I actually struggled with whether or not to actively push to garner votes for this.
I came to the conclusion that this is an opportunity to have some fun, connect with some new people, and to perhaps get even more eyes on this blog.
More exposure for Ethigal Blog means an increased ability to help spread the word about conscious local brands and family-friendly destinations that are good for people and the planet. Now THAT’S something I can get behind.
As a result, I invite you to vote daily for the next three weeks … or as often as you remember to! Voting closes June 8th, 2018 and the winner is announced June 11th, 2018. The Top Vancouver Mom Blogger will win two tickets to the Festival of Grapes, Two Nights Accommodation, and a wine tour courtesy of Oliver Osoyoos Wine Association!
Regardless of the outcome of the voting, I’m proud to be among the Top 30 and excited to attend the upcoming VINTAGE celebration on June 19th at Hycroft Manor. Tickets are available now; hope you will join us there.
To conclude, thank you to all of the amazing brands, tourism boards, and following community who have supported me. Thank you to fellow local mom, Melissa Warren, who created this website from Foundation Creative
