Our First Responders and Health Workers Need Our Support More Than Ever Before
It’s probably no surprise to you that Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) is one of the primary health care providers at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to creating dedicated units to care for COVID-19 patients, VGH is still providing urgent world-class care for everyone who requires it.
Strokes, heart attacks, accidents and other emergencies are still happening, and Hometown Heroes Lottery helps to support these life-saving services.

So Are You Ready for The Home Tour?
The tiger rug in the entrance. It’s an unexpected first impression– and I LOVE IT. The formal dining room is spacious enough for large entertaining when we’re allowed to be social again. The front sitting room is a cozy and glamorous space to host company or grab some quiet time. The office space has doors to allow for a separate private space to focus. The 18 foot ceilings and smoked mirrored fireplace create a grand living room. Catching up on a good book in the living room. So much thought was given to every angle of this custom home. We called this built-in kitchen table/ flex space a ‘peninsula’. The mirrored backsplash adds some sparkle. Can you spot builder Kam (Marquis Custom Homes) and myself in the reflection? lol!The Spice Kitchen is so nice and bright… and handy! The Upstairs Flex-Space is perfect for kids’ craft area. Bedroom: Loved the butterfly theme. I was surprised to hear that every bedroom upstairs has its own ensuite. Bedroom: I thought the firehouse/ dalmation theme was clever. The Master Bedroom is massive and has a large deck looking out onto the backyard. The Master Bedroom’s walk-in closet is everything dreams are made of. Carry Bradshaw would love this. The Master Ensuite features a deep soaker tub to kick back and relax in after a long day. This angle of the Master Ensuite captures the double sinks, large shower and soaker tub. And now we head to the bottom level to see the spacious downstairs entertaining area. I was surprised at how bright it is. This area is perfect for entertaining. Welcome to the downstairs bar & wine cabinet. The Theatre Room keeps all the noise in one space in the home. The screen on the other wall is MASSIVE, and boasts a powerful surround sound system. In the next room over is the home gym. Can you spot me again in the reflection? Oops!Who doesn’t want a spa? The downstairs boasts a steam shower & dry sauna, along with another bedroom.

Let’s switch gears for a moment to remind us all that we NEVER can predict WHEN we’ll need to be rushed to the hospital.
I want introduce you to a local family who I chatted with last week.
Jon was rushed to Vancouver General Hospital from a serious accident. His partner Christa was 8 months pregnant, and went into emergency labour when she learned of the accident.
She held his hand, and told him: “We’re gonna make it through this one way or another”.
Meet Christa and Jon, and hear the rest of their story.
Despite the fact that this is a sponsored post, as always, all opinions are my own.
