Disclosure: Thank you to Endy for supplying us with a mattress, pillows, and sheets to test out! Despite the fact that this is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own. I admire that Endy encourages us to share our real, unfiltered opinions. I appreciate this freedom from a brand– it’s darn refreshing!
To begin with, we have several friends who purchased Endy mattresses and genuinely rave about them. The idea of a Canadian-made mattress in a box seemed appealing, as we knew we need to get a new mattress soon. I kind of took for granted and didn’t really think too much about. I didn’t love our old one, but I was also just kind of complacent about it.
For instance, when Endy reached out for us to try out their unique made-in-Canada mattress, pillows and sheets, I was so excited. To be honest with you, I was also a bit nervous about whether we’d really like their products. I also wondered what I might do if I couldn’t recommend it to my trusting followers.
Speaking of this 100 night risk-free trial, I totally respect that Endy gives its customers time to decide whether it’s a good fit for them. 100 nights gives us all plenty of time to really think about it and decide if it’s a good fit. If you do decide to return it, they’ll come pick it up from you and give you a full refund, no questions asked. I mean, how many companies offer this level of service?
Above all, no one has their sleep routine challenged like moms do. We need 7-9 hours of sleep each night and many try our best to go to bed early. However, our sleep is often broken because of a scary dream or a request to find their stuffy that’s somehow migrated to the bottom of the bed. Sleep becomes even more fragmented with nursing babies or sick kids.
As a result, moms need to be well rested to handle the barrage of challenges that are thrown our way every single day– both at work and at home. The chunks of sleep we are able to get are so incredibly important for our energy, health and stress management!
For starters, it really is easy to have our mattress delivered right to our front porch! Our family loved being able to avoid the cost and hassle of renting a truck or paying extra for delivery.
Firstly, the mattress box is roughly the size of a hockey bag and was quite heavy. I brought it up three flights of stairs to our bedroom, by my myself. It was huge workout and I was quite proud of myself! I guess I could have waited for my hubby to get home, but I wanted to be a strong, independent women. Ha ha. One thing that was a bit challenging was that our white mattress box arrived in a bit of rough shape; I had to scrub it and use a creative angle to get the photo below! All of the contents inside were in perfect condition, so it really wasn’t a big deal.
For this photo, it was my son’s idea to wear the Canadian hockey jerseys as he saw the Canadian maple leaf on the box.
Next up, this video speaks for itself. We were genuinely astounded at how the mattress ‘fills with air’ and unfolds. You can see what a fun experience it was to unbox our new Endy together. It felt almost magical seeing the roll expand and become a full queen mattress right before our eyes.
Of course, we had to test out the new mattress and pillows with a jumping pillow fight at the end. Our son actually asked us to get another Endy so we could unbox another one together!
Can we take a moment to gush about the importance of good design? I’m a total sucker for sleek design and branding and Endy has really done its homework. It’s a game changer for sheets and pillowcases.
I was used to waking up in the morning with the bottom sheet half off, a good foot of the mattress exposed, and the pillow half hanging out. I woke up kind of feeling like a hot mess which in retrospect probably wasn’t a great way to start the day.
However, Endy has created fitted sheets that have a thick ‘ribbed’ black elastic that is specifically designed to tuck underneath its mattress. Its pillowcase is also specially made for its pillows, so it kind of tucks over the edge and holds the pillow firm. In the 100 nights of us sleeping on the Endy, the sheet and pillowcases have actually stayed secure!
In my opinion, Endy’s innovative design tweaks offer a fresh perspective on something we tend to not thing about all that much. Their changes make SO much sense.
Just as Endy revolutionized the mattress, sheet + pillowcase, they did not disappoint with their signature pillow. My old pillow was yellowed, lumpy and floppy—actually quite embarrassing to think about. We were really needing an upgrade.
The Endy pillow is filled with high density shredded foam that can be easily customized for your perfect height and firmness. The fill is hypo-allergenic and has a machine washable cover. It’s also neat that excess fill can be stored in small pouch that doubles as as travel pillow. All things told, this Endy pillow is very soft, supportive and super comfy.
In addition, the pillow comes with a 60 night risk-free trial and 3 year warranty.
Certainly, it’s a GREAT feeling to be able to bring fresh, clean new mattress and bedding into our bedroom– for the first time ever! I was a bit concerned about the strong initial smell of plastic but it quickly disappeared. After the unboxing, I opened the window a bit and sprayed some natural linen spray to air things out.
My husband and I found the Endy mattress quite hard the first. After the first night, I wasn’t sure how I could give it a positive review. It was such a huge difference from our old, soft bagged out spring mattress. We decided that neither of us were used to the level of comfort and support a new foam mattress provides.
Three nights in, things changed for us. We had a talk and decided to rid of our old mattress and fully commit to our Endy. There’s no going back for us now and we’re genuinely thrilled with our new mattress. We’re now recommending it to all of our friends and family members.
Above all, we love how our Endy is both soft and firm at the same time. Its comfortable, signature three layer foam lets us get a better sleep with zero motion transfer, as well as its temperature regulation for consistent firmness in every season. I’ve also found it provides better air-flow so I don’t get overheated in the middle of the night like I used to!
It’s so comfy, it’s also great for Sunday afternoon naps, or sleeping in. (I wish I was there right now!)
Many friends, followers and family have reached out to me to ask what I REALLY think about our new Endy mattress (hush, hush, on the down-low). I tell them that we love sleeping on our Endy; we honestly feel this way after trying it out for the first 100 nights.
Furthermore, my partnership with Endy continues for 6 months, so stay tuned for our final review after we have even more time to sleep on it. I am so grateful to have a platform to share things I genuinely love with my following community and couldn’t/ wouldn’t breach that trust.
