As a BC Children’s Hospital Jeans Day Ambassador, I shared how I was a patient at BCCH when I was a kid. My family spent a week there, and while it was a scary time we all felt very well supported and cared for. It means a lot to be able to give back to help the hospital expand on its good work for the next generation.
Buying a Dream Lottery ticket is an easy way to support the funding of ground-breaking research at BC Children’s Hospital into the prevention, treatment and cure of childhood illnesses. Securing the best health care possible for BC’s kids is a cause I can really get excited about as a teacher and mother.
I must say: These prizes are absolutely incredible and life-changing. The winner of Dream Lottery can choose one of eight grand prize dream packages located in: White Rock (largest prize package worth more than $2.8 million), Tsawwassen, South Surrey, Vernon, Vancouver, Victoria or Courtenay.
But that’s not all. The winner also has the option of choosing $2.2 million in tax-free cash instead of a luxury home prize package.
There are total of 3,161 prizes worth over $3.7 million, including luxury homes, vacations, and cars. Wow. It’s tough for me to even wrap my mind around the enormity of these prizes.
Read on to find out how you can buy your tickets today… and what you might choose if you won!

Designer Sandra from Positive Spaces Inc. and I just met that morning, but became fast friends as we toured this jaw-dropping custom home and set up fun photos to showcase what living here could look like.
Our first stop was the massive executive office, where we chatted and pretended we were having a meeting. I loved the solid wood desk, built in shelves and modern, organic accessories. This is a space I could get lots of work done in.
I’ve always dreamed of having a modern, white kitchen. This one has the scale to host a large family or dinner party, and comes with a spice kitchen. I love the high quality surfaces and appliances and remarked “this kitchen will NEVER go out of style” with its clean lines and light, but grounded look.
I noticed the under-island lighting, which added a subtle dramatic ambiance to the space.
Now this is the spot for a dinner party! This custom made table was created for the space, and it mirrors the feel of the kitchen in its lightness and solid pieces.
Sandra and I were trying to act casually for this photo, so we decided to guess how many circles were in the mirror. Ha ha.
Yes, I said wine cabinet. Or maybe I should say “massive wine closet”. Anyways, it’s gorgeous and temperature controlled for the perfect bottle of vino.
Its dramatic lighting and glass doors make it a stunning architectural showpiece. The only thing— you’d have to keep that cabinet full!
SERIOUSLY. This master bedroom and massive walk-in closet are home dreams come true. The styling is glamorous but not over the top with the custom designed headboard.
The walk-in closet has tons of storage and would have more than enough room for all the clothes, shoes, purses and accessories I’d have if I lived in a place like this.
I squealed with delight when I saw this humongous master bathroom. The shower is the largest we’ve seen, and the bathtub would be perfect for a relaxing soak at the end of a long day. (Sandra convinced me to try it out!)
I haven’t seen such a glam washroom before; I can totally imagine it being mine. Ha ha.
Who doesn’t love to blow off some steam with a great group of friends? This beautiful custom made pool table is the perfect spot to have fun and unwind.
Sandra and I don’t really know how to play pool, but we did a great job pretending!
Yes, you read that properly. Of course there’s a theatre room in this place. We got cozy, imagining ourselves watching a movie. I can see a family getting a lot of use out of this room. Bring on the snacks!
Last but not least, anyone who is familiar with the real estate market in South Surrey/ White Rock will tell you that large backyards are hard to find. Like no where else I’ve lived, land is at an absolute premium here.
I was thrilled to see the large, beautifully landscaped backyard, with a calming water feature and large quick-growing hedges.
This is a place families could relax and have fun together.
Friendly volunteers Maureen and Jenny are ready to sell you your tickets in the beautiful kitchen of the White Rock showhome. Be sure to tell them that Kama says hi!
